Gail & Merry

 Vision Team | Vernon, BC

Gail from Vernon, BC, and her Dog Guide Merry, graduated in October 2015 from the Canine Vision program at the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides centre.

Gail lost her sight due to her type two diabetes, and her first Dog Guide Tyrell in 2008. Unfortunately, Tyrell passed away from cancer in April. Because of your generosity, Gail was able to quickly be sponsored to receive Merry.

Having a Dog Guide gives Gail her freedom, independence and confidence to face all challenges, “Merry and I are becoming a very successful working team she loves life, she loves working, and she motivates me every day,” says Gail. Gail is not only grateful for her sponsorship, she also works hard to help other Canadian with disabilities by raising money for Dog Guides. To date her charity events have raised more than $11,000 for Dog Guides. Why should you donate? “Receiving a dog guide is a life changing event that takes all the negativity out of life and replaces it with positive, self-assuring lifestyle changes,” says Gail.
