Meet Danny and his Dog Guide Flanders from Edmonton, AB. They graduated from the Seizure Response Program through Lions Foundation of Canada. It’s because of your generous donations Danny was able to receive the Dog Guide he needed!
Although their journey has just begun, Flanders has already had a huge impact on Danny’s life. “I feel much more confident with Flanders around, so I have the confidence to go places and get things done, that before I might have hesitated,” says Danny. Danny and Flanders have already developed a strong bond. This bond will help Flanders learn to identify changes in Danny’s behaviour and help alert him of oncoming seizures. “Flanders will get more protective right before I have a seizure, whether or not he is predicting them, time will tell,” says Danny.
