Please join the Pet Valu Cornwall team Sunday May 27th for the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides. By participating in the walk you can help provide life changing Dog Guides to Canadians with disabilities. To participate you can register online at www.walkfordogguides.com and collect donations online or stop by our Pet Valu Cornwall location (1400 Vincent Massey Drive) to pick up a donation form and start collecting donations right away.
The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides’ mission is to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them Dog Guides at no cost. Each Dog Guide costs approximately $25,000 to raise, train and place. The Lions Foundation does not receive any government funding. This is why the Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides is so important.
The walk will take place in front of our store on Sunday May 27th, 2018. Registration is at 10:30 a.m. (at that time you can drop off any completed donation forms and donations) and the walk begins at 11 a.m. Water will be available to the dogs as well as treats and samples. Also for the walkers there will be some draws and giveaways! To donate without participating in the walk you can support a walker with your donation or donate online at www.walkfordogguides.com.
