April is PAW month, and our brand new store Pet Valu Lower Simcoe (11 Lower Simcoe St, Toronto) is working with Save Our Scruff, a Toronto based dog rescue and charity. With your help, we can help save and enhance lives of dogs sorely needing rescue, love, friends, help – yours and ours! In an effort to raise as much awareness for Save our Scruff as possible, we will be hosting a series of in store events throughout April!
Every donation, whether monetary or product, will earn you a Paw for your pet to be displayed in our window and around the store all April!
April 7th – 8th
Egg Hunt!
Donation price: 2$
Take a time-sensitive search around the store for plastic eggs containing treats or coupons! Coupons may be applied to purchase on date of event. All proceeds to Save our Scruff.
April 14th – 15th
Instagram Challenge
Donation price: Free!
Are you and your pet a frequent shopper at our location? Snap a picture of your pet enjoying the store and tag our instagram page – we’ll enter you in a draw for a raffle basket, on us!
This weekend is also our Red Dog Blue Kat info session! Join us on Sunday 15th for coupons, info and healthy raw treats!

NATIONAL ADOPTION WEEKEND & CAN DRIVE
Although Save our Scruff is very busy this weekend with their own national event (see Save Our Scruff for more info) we will be accepting donations of canned food all weekend! Each can donated will also earn you a paw to sign.
We will also be hosting Toronto Rabbit Rescue over the weekend to help find some bunnies some homes in the spirit of our National Adoption Weekend! Come in store to meet your possible next family member – more info to follow.

Come in all weekend to celebrate a month of fundraising and love – enjoy our Henna Art, Face Painting, Tattoo “paw-lour,” treat bar and more!
PAW Month is the annual Pet Valu Charity Drive that aims to raise life-saving funds and products for local charities, rescues, adoption facilities and more. Each Pet Valu is encouraged to select a local rescue of their choice and raise as much as possible! To date, PAW month has found Forever Homes for more than 24,120 pets in need since its induction in 2011.
